Nottingham Forest Football Club was founded in 1865 and their home ground is the City Ground, located on the banks of the River Trent, where they have played since 1898. The stadium has a capacity of just over 30,000 and the record attendance for a Forest home match was set in 1967 at 49,946 versus Liverpool. Forest have been champions of England’s top division once, in the 1977-78 season, and have also won the European Cup twice, in 1979 and 1980, under the legendary management of Brian Clough. Their nickname is the Reds or the Tricky Trees. The club has had a number of famous players over the years, including Peter Shilton, John Robertson Stuart Pearce and Roy Keane.
