Chelsea Football Club was founded in 1905 in the Fulham area of west London. They currently play their home matches at Stamford Bridge, which has a capacity of around 41,600 spectators. The record attendance at Stamford Bridge was 82,905 in a game against Arsenal in 1935.  Chelsea have won a multitude of titles over the years. They have won the English Premier League six times, the UEFA Champions League twice, and the Europa League twice, amongst other domestic and international trophies. The club’s nickname is the Blues, which is a reference to the colour of their home kit.  Some of their most famous players include Frank Lampard, who is the club’s all-time leading goal scorer, and Didier Drogba, who scored the winning goal in the 2012 Champions League final. Other notable players include John Terry, Petr Cech, and Eden Hazard.  Chelsea have a rich history dating back over a century. The club was initially formed by Gus Mears, who had previously failed to acquire the nearby Fulham Football Club. Chelsea’s first major success came in 1955, when they won the league championship for the first time.
